Echelon Health Foundation supports families affected by service-related trauma and disruption, beginning with veteran, active-duty, National Guard and Reserve, and first responder families across Greater Cincinnati.
We help families navigate fragmented systems by connecting them with trusted health, wellness, education, and community resources while building strong regional partnerships.
Helping families find trusted providers, wellness programs, and behavioral health resources when existing systems are difficult to navigate.
Building educational content and resource networks so people and families can make informed decisions.
Strengthening Greater Cincinnati support networks so families have practical pathways to resilience, stability, and long-term self-sufficiency.
Our goal this year is to raise $25,000 to build educational resources, provider partnerships, and family-focused programs serving veteran, military, Guard and Reserve, and first responder households across Greater Cincinnati.
Echelon Health Foundation is an Ohio nonprofit corporation operating as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, created by a collective of like-minded professionals who recognized the gaps where people need help but don't know where to find it.
To help people find answers, resources, education, and support when traditional pathways have become difficult to navigate.
A future where every individual has access to trustworthy information, meaningful support, and opportunities to pursue improved health, wellness, and quality of life — regardless of financial, geographic, or systemic barriers.
"Success is not measured by how many people depend on us. It's measured by how many people no longer need us — because they have the tools, knowledge, and confidence to build healthy, productive lives."
Mike Bunner is a U.S. Army veteran and 100% disabled veteran. After navigating the VA system and his own path toward recovery, he founded Echelon Health Foundation to bridge the gaps he saw throughout society — the places where people need help but don't know where to turn.

How we hold ourselves accountable to donors, partners, and the people we serve.
We educate, research, and connect — we never diagnose conditions or endorse unproven therapies. All health content stays factual, balanced, and sourced.
All funds further our charitable purposes. Financial assistance, when offered, follows a documented application and board-approval process.
We are never political, never sensationalized, and never built around sympathy. We are a credible partner to healthcare organizations, employers, and communities.
Our initial focus is the household, not only the person who served. We support families affected by service-related trauma and disruption with practical navigation, education, wellness resources, and trusted community connections.
Veterans, spouses, and children navigating the lasting effects of military service, transition, recovery, and reintegration.
Spouses and children managing deployment, repeated transitions, family stress, and the challenges that accompany military life.
Families balancing civilian life with service obligations who may not have the same day-to-day support systems as active-duty households.
Fire, police, and EMS households affected by the stress, trauma, and demands that come with serving their communities.
Why these families? They often share the same pressures and, in many cases, the same people move between military and first responder service. Echelon begins with this connected community while preserving a broader charitable mission to help individuals and families facing barriers to health, wellness, education, and support.
Our long-term vision starts with a relationship-based Greater Cincinnati model and grows from proven regional impact into a retreat and future community-center network.
